Eric Nuss spent the first part of his life in Omaha before moving with his family to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he completed high school. He went on to Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a focus on science and athletic coaching.
